Starting in Fall 2027, Bio-Med's elementary students will move into the Michael Schwartz Center on Kent State's campus, merging two campuses into one.
A New Purpose for the Schwartz Center
- Opened in 1956, the Schwartz Center has a rich history as a lab school for student teachers.
- Now, it will house 600 students and 50 staff members.
- The consolidation will address space limitations and improve learning opportunities.
- It will also reduce transportation stops for families and school districts.
Bio-Med Science Academy: A Top STEM School
- One of Ohio's top STEM schools, offering tuition-free education to students of all backgrounds.
- Focuses on problem-based learning, with 89% of graduates pursuing higher education.
