Institutional Frenzy: $17 Million Floods XRP ETFs in a Day

A tidal wave of institutional capital has sent XRP soaring—up 5% in a single day and nearly 8% over the past week. On April 15, investors poured $17 million into XRP-focused ETFs, the largest single-day influx since late February. The surge capped a two-day streak totaling $28 million, the strongest since the year began.

These ETFs now command a collective $1 billion in assets, with $1.25 billion funneled in so far.

Who’s Buying? The Big Three Dominate

The lion’s share of the inflows went to the top three funds:

  • Bitwise: $6.2 million
  • 21Shares: $5.4 million
  • Franklin Templeton: $5.3 million

A smaller fund managed a mere $148,000—a drop in the bucket compared to the giants.

What’s Driving the Rally? Partnerships and Deep-Pocketed Buyers

Behind the surge are whispers of strategic alliances:

  • A life-insurance firm partnered with Ripple
  • An insurance giant added XRP ETF shares to its portfolio

These moves signal growing institutional confidence in XRP’s long-term viability.

Technical Breakout: XRP Shatters Downward Trend

After months of stagnation, XRP has burst out of a descending triangle, a pattern that often precedes sharp rallies. The breakout cleared the upper resistance, propelling the token toward the 50-day moving average (~$1.41)—a level last seen above in early February.

Next Milestones: $1.55 and Beyond

If XRP holds above $1.41, the next targets are:

  • 100-day moving average (~$1.55)
  • Major resistance zone near $1.80

Solana’s XRP Hints: Wrapped Token on the Horizon?

Rumors are intensifying that Solana might soon support XRP in a wrapped form. The blockchain hinted at the possibility with an "XRP" post, and its co-founder’s cryptic reply suggested an imminent launch.

While Hex Trust already issued Wrapped XRP on Solana and Ethereum last year, 99% of it remains locked on Ethereum. A Solana-native wrapper could unlock fresh liquidity and trading opportunities.
