Winter's Light and Your Eyes: A Bright Idea
Monday, February 17, 2025
So, what can we do? Spend more time outside, even on cloudy days. Being outside helps our eyes get the light they need. When reading or working on a computer, sit near a window or use a bright lamp. And don't forget sun protection! Even in winter, the sun's rays can be strong, so wear sunglasses when you're outside.
But why is it so hard to get enough light in winter? Maybe it's time to think about how we design our homes and schools to let in more light. Or maybe we need to find better ways to use artificial light. The truth is, there's still a lot we don't know about how light affects our eyes. But one thing is for sure: it's something worth paying attention to.
