Will the Next Election Really Shatter the Republic?
USAWednesday, November 6, 2024
If Kamala Harris wins, things might get tough for religious freedoms and border control. But it’s not a sudden collapse of democracy. The real worry is if Democrats sweep both houses and the presidency. They could blow up the Senate’s rules and cram through laws that might not be constitutional.
The Supreme Court stands as a guardian of the constitution, but it faces attacks from the left. However, no matter who wins, the fight to shape the court won’t end. In 2026, 33 Senate seats are up for grabs, so the battle continues.
Trump's ego drives many of his policies, which could fade if he leaves office. But the Democratic agenda—aimed at undermining constitutional limits—could stick around.
The GOP has shifted left under Trump, embracing big government. That’s disappointing for conservatives, but it’s not the downfall of America. We're not going to turn into Nazi Germany or a failed state. We might wind up like some European countries with their political tug-of-wars, but that’s not the end.
In the past, I used to laugh at folks who said, "This is the most important election ever! " But honestly, we’re pretty lucky to live here and now.
