Will Microsoft Dive into Bitcoin? Shareholders Decide

Microsoft is facing a big decision. On December 10, its shareholders will vote on whether the company should invest in Bitcoin. This vote comes after a conservative think tank, the National Center for Public Policy Research, suggested that Bitcoin could be a great way to protect against inflation. But Microsoft's board isn't so sure. They say the company already looks at lots of investment options, including Bitcoin. Even Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has been skeptical about cryptocurrencies in the past.

This vote is a big deal for both Microsoft and the crypto world. If shareholders say yes, it could make Bitcoin even more appealing to traditional companies and banks. But if they say no, Microsoft might be slower to follow other tech firms like MicroStrategy and Tesla, which have already invested in Bitcoin. MicroStrategy even has the biggest corporate Bitcoin collection, with over 250, 000 coins worth around $17 billion.
