Wildfires Spread Across Northeast

In Brooklyn's Prospect Park, a brush fire burned overnight, scorching about 2 acres. The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) worked hard to put it out. They mentioned that this is one of over 100 brush fires in the city this month alone. Pennsylvania's Berks County is also dealing with a fire. Northern New Jersey is under a red flag warning, which means extreme fire behavior is possible. These wildfires are causing air quality concerns, especially in the New York City area. On the West Coast, the Mountain Fire in Ventura County, California, has spread over 20, 600 acres and is 17% contained. The cause is under investigation. Sunny and dry conditions are expected, with wind gusts up to 20 mph, and air quality alerts are in effect due to wildfire smoke.
