They thought they knew enough to make a good call, and assumed others would agree. But here’s the interesting part: when folks later got the other side of the story, many changed their minds. This shows that people can adjust their views when they get more info. The lead researcher, Angus Fletcher, pointed out that this might not work all the time, especially with strongly held beliefs.
