Why WiFi Earbuds are the Next Big Thing

Everyone loves wireless earbuds, but they sometimes fall short when we stream high-quality music. Bluetooth isn't strong enough to handle hi-res lossless streams from services like Tidal or Qobuz. But, there's good news! Qualcomm has invented XPAN technology, which promises to bring WiFi earbuds to life. These earbuds will be able to get a 24-bit 96kHz signal through WiFi, solving the low-quality problem. But, there's a catch.

The buds and your phone both need a Qualcomm chip, like the S7 Pro. This means not everyone can enjoy them, and you'll need to be on the same WiFi network, so it's an at-home-only deal. A bit disappointing, isn't it? Lucky for us, these earbuds will still work with Bluetooth when you're out and about. Will they be as good as the Sony WH-1000XM5 or the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds? Time will tell.
