Kids who washed their hands before cooking had fewer Astrovirus infections. Interestingly, poor toilet conditions didn't seem to make much difference for these viruses. Norovirus and Astrovirus were more common in Africa, while Rotavirus was more common in South Asia. No clear pattern emerged, but the findings do offer clues for designing better ways to fight these viruses in kids.
