Why Kids Play Nice with Their Schoolmates

In another part of the experiment, kids could punish others for not cooperating. Again, younger kids were easier on their classmates who didn't play by the rules. Eighth graders were fairer, punishing both classmates and others equally. This shows that as kids grow older, they start to treat everyone the same, which is a big step in understanding rules and fairness.
