Why Eliminating Nasrallah Isn't Enough for Peace
LebanonMonday, October 7, 2024
Israel, on the other hand, is often seen as the bad guy because of the ongoing conflict with Palestine. But if Israel wasn't there, would the Middle East be any better? Probably not. Israel brings a lot of innovation to the world, like tech for our phones and computers.
Now, let's think about what would happen if Iran was gone. No more backing for terror groups, no more chaos, and maybe even a chance for peace. But for that to happen, the world needs to step in and enforce the rules, like the UN resolutions that say Hezbollah should leave the border area and give up their weapons.
Israel wants more than just an end to the attacks. They want real changes. But this won't happen overnight. It might take another intervention, maybe even a multinational force. And while it's not popular, the West needs to stand up to Iran and say “no more nukes and no more proxies.”
It's like a schoolyard problem where the teacher finally steps in. The bully might be scared off, but the teacher needs to make sure the problem stays solved. That's what the world needs to do in the Middle East.
