Why Are Animal Selfies at Asian Zoos a Bad Idea?
Southeast AsiaWednesday, November 27, 2024
Visitors might think a selfie or a ride is cool, but it's actually making animals stressed. Imagine you're an animal in a zoo. All day, people poke, prod, and snap pictures. Not fun, right? It's important to think about how our actions affect animals.
Some people even feed the animals, which might seem nice, but it can cause problems. Animals might get sick or become dependent on visitors' food. It's like giving a kid too much candy. Not good for them.
So, what can we do? Simple: be kind to animals. Don't touch or feed them. Take pictures from a safe distance. And let's encourage zoos to do better too. Maybe they can offer more educational programs to teach visitors about animal welfare.
