Salesforce has a fresh face in their top leadership. Robin Washington, a seasoned financial executive, will be joining the software giant. They have to fill two big shoes

        as Washington will be taking over the roles of President and Chief Financial and Operating Officer. She will be replacing Amy Weaver and Brian Millham, who are both retiring.

        Company changes at the top will not always be smooth.  Washington is set to start her new role in March. Weaver and Millham will stay on until May to ensure a smooth transition.

         Washington has been around the block in the tech and finance world. She has a lot of experience. She was the Chief Financial Officer at Gilead Sciences before retiring in 2019. She was also a big player at Alphabet. This year, she was named lead independent director at Salesforce.

         Washington also has a lot of experience in the tech world. She has worked at Hyperion and PeopleSoft, which are now both part of Oracle.

         Washington has worked with Benioff in the past. He worked at Oracle before starting Salesforce. Benioff has praised Washington's expertise. He believes she will be a great addition to the team.

         The company has been promoting their Agentforce software. It is a tool that helps automate sales and customer service processes.

        Washington will remain on Salesforce's board. The company is confident she will help Salesforce continue to innovate and grow. Washington isn't just jumping into her new job.  She will have a lot of work to do to continue the progress she helped make at Gilead.  It will be interesting to see how Washington's experience will help Salesforce continue to grow.

        Washington's appointment comes at a time when Salesforce is undergoing significant changes. Salesforce has been working hard to improve its services.  They have been working on a lot of new products and services. It will be interesting to see how she will help Salesforce continue to grow and innovate.

        Salesforce's shares have been on a roller coaster ride. They slipped almost 2% in extended trading after the announcement. This could be due to a number of factors. It could be that the market is reacting to the news of the leadership change.  It could also be that the market is reacting to the company's recent performance.  It will be interesting to see how the stock performs in the coming months.

        Millham's journey at Salesforce started in 2000. He joined the company as president of commercial sales. He was then promoted to president and operating chief in August 2022. When co-CEO Bret Taylor left in 2023, Millham took on some of his responsibilities.  He has had a long career with the company and has helped it grow into the giant it is today.
