The US has a tough relationship with food. We're either obsessing over protein or banning carbs and fats. But while we're busy tracking our protein, we're ignoring the real deficiencies – like fiber and vitamin D. It's like we're chasing down the wrong beast. Protein is crucial, but not to the extent we think. Most of us don't need to hit insane targets to stay healthy. Maybe it's time to relax and enjoy our food without the extra worry.
