Wedding Food Drama: Guests Who Demand a Say
Friday, February 7, 2025
You should go to a wedding to be festive, not to make demands. You should know that these requests can be annoying for the couple. A general rule is if it's not a medical issue, do not post it on the RSVP. Everyone will be happy if they don't get to hear your food preferences. That way, you can enjoy the party.
Some guests, unfortunately, do this. They list things like “Please have mac n cheese" or "I don’t want a chocolate cake. ” They can eat wherever they want for the rest of the year. Why bother with your food preferences during someone else’s special day? It's better to enjoy the party as it is.
If you have a medical issue, tell the couple. Otherwise, it's a wedding, not a buffet. Eat what you're given, and enjoy the moment with the bride and groom.
