Wearables on the Move: HUAWEI Surprises, Apple Stumbles
ChinaThursday, December 19, 2024
Samsung's strategy? Cover all price points. Their latest Galaxy Watch Ultra wowed shoppers looking for top features, while their cheaper options, like the Galaxy Watch FE, catered to budget-conscious buyers. This helped them boost their shipments by 24. 3%.
Xiaomi and BBK (you know them from OPPO, OnePlus, and Vivo) also saw big growth. They're doing well in emerging markets, where people are looking for affordable but packed-with-features wearables.
But, not all brands are doing great. The "Others" category dropped by 20. 3%, showing that brand consolidation might be happening. China, however, is leading the way in growth, with a strong 20. 1% increase.
This small slowdown might turn into a big opportunity. Companies might start thinking outside the box, bringing us new and innovative designs.
