Weapons Deal: China Displeased, U. S. Stands Firm
Sunday, December 8, 2024
Meanwhile, Taiwan’s President was traveling, and China wasn’t pleased about that either. The U. S. says it's just regular business, but China’s foreign ministry has other ideas. They want the U. S. to play by China’s rules when it comes to Taiwan. Isn’t it interesting that the U. S. , while sticking to the 'one-China' policy, keeps sending arms to Taiwan? It’s like a never-ending tug of war.
Taiwan and China have a complex relationship, and this weapons deal just adds to the confusion. The U. S. claims it’s just helping an ally, but China sees it as a threat to their sovereignty. Who’s right? That’s the big question.
