The research showed that bats were particularly active over rice fields, gobbling up more pests there than anywhere else.

In fact, their activity was 1. 5 times higher over rice fields compared to other types of farmland. While wetlands and water areas had less bat activity, the bats seemed to focus on areas where insects were plentiful.
