Voting Hurdles: Pennsylvania's Last-Minute Ballot Challenges

Just before the election, a small group in Pennsylvania targeted thousands of mail-in ballots. They aimed to reject votes from overseas and people with mail forwarding. This happened in over a dozen counties, causing a stir among voting rights groups and election officials. Some counties dismissed these challenges as pointless. A state senator, Jarrett Coleman, led these challenges. The top election official in Pennsylvania called this a coordinated effort based on theories courts have rejected. Republicans and conservative groups have been challenging overseas ballots in several states. These challenges could affect the outcome in Pennsylvania, where the 2020 presidential race was decided by less than 90, 000 votes.
