US Forces Claim to Clean Up Hormuz Strait

Strait of HormuzSaturday, April 11, 2026

The U.S. President declared that American troops are beginning to clear the Hormuz Strait, asserting that all of Iran’s mine‑laying boats have been sunk. He noted the process has started and that the 28 Iranian vessels are now resting on the sea floor.

Earlier, the President stated U.S. forces have taken out Iran’s navy and air force and damaged its missile and nuclear programs.

The Strait of Hormuz is a vital route for global oil shipments. Fears of Iranian attacks have shut it down in recent weeks, shutting the waterway and upsetting energy markets worldwide—even though most of the oil passing through does not go to America.

In Islamabad, U.S. and Iranian officials began talks hosted by Pakistan as a fragile ceasefire holds. The discussion is part of efforts to ease tensions and restore normal shipping through the waterway.
