Unlocking Remote Access: Microsoft's Latest Windows App
Redmond, USAMonday, September 23, 2024
The app's launch process is straightforward, and connections created in the previous version will be migrated seamlessly. However, users may need to specify whether they are connecting to a domain-based resource or an individual PC. By default, the app requests a work or school account for domain-based connections, but users can opt for a Microsoft account or local account for connecting to home PCs.
In an experiment, I used the new app to connect to PCs in my home office, and it worked smoothly. The app is an improvement over the previous version, particularly for users who work in domain-based environments. Although the app's name may not be the most intuitive, its features and functionality make it a valuable tool for remote access.
