United Club's New Membership Plans: What's Changing
Chicago, USAMonday, March 24, 2025
If you have a United credit card, you might already have some lounge access. The United Club Infinite Card and United Club Business Card both include it. These cards allow the primary cardholder, one guest, and any children under 18 to enter the lounge. To upgrade to All Access, you need to earn Premier Gold status or spend 50, 000 dollars on the card in a year. The annual fee for these cards is 695 dollars, which is more affordable than buying a membership outright.
United is also implementing a time limit on lounge access for those using a one-time pass. Starting May 1, you can only enter up to three hours before your flight. This rule doesn't apply to connecting flights or members. Additionally, grab-and-go Club Fly locations won't accept one-time passes anymore.
These changes might seem strict, but they are not as harsh as some other airlines' rules. Credit card holders will still enjoy unlimited access, with a few conditions. So, it's not all bad news.
It's always a good idea to check the latest rules before planning a trip. Lounge access can make travel more enjoyable, but it's important to know what to expect. Plus, understanding the new rules can help you make the most of your membership or credit card perks. It's important to consider how often you travel and whether the new membership options fit your needs. For frequent travelers, the All Access membership might be worth the investment. For occasional travelers, the Individual membership could be a better fit.
