TSMC Vows to Act Fast if Huawei Sanctions Are Violated

TSMC, the giant chip maker from Taiwan, has promised to take quick action if it's found not following rules about selling chips to Huawei. The U. S. has put restrictions on other companies too, like NVIDIA.

TSMC said it's a law-abiding company and will follow all rules. If there's any problem, TSMC will fix it fast. The demand for AI chips has helped TSMC recover from a rough patch in the electronics industry. If TSMC breaks U. S. laws, it could cause problems for the whole chip industry. TSMC makes most of the world's ordered chips, so any legal issues could affect its access to advanced chip-making tools. Companies might have to find new places to make chips if there are problems. TSMC's location in Taiwan, near China, also worries companies. A conflict in the South China Sea could disrupt the chip supply chain. NVIDIA's CEO said their company can switch to other chip makers if needed.
