Trump’s Quiet Getaway to Camp David
Camp David, Maryland, USASaturday, June 20, 2026
He claimed the U. S. did not act out of desperation, while suggesting Iran would receive no financial gain from the agreement.
His last visit to Camp David in June 2025 focused on military and foreign policy issues, including protests over immigration in California, concerns about Iran, and the Gaza conflict.
Unlike other presidents who often use the retreat for weekend relaxation or diplomatic talks, Trump usually stays at his own properties in Florida and New Jersey.
A Cabinet meeting originally scheduled for Camp David earlier this year was moved to the White House because of expected bad weather.
The retreat, located about 70 miles from Washington, has been a popular spot for past presidents to conduct policy discussions and enjoy a quiet escape.
