The coins were created by CIC Digital, an affiliate of the Trump Organization. About 200 million tokens are available now, with plans to release 1 billion more over three years. CIC Digital and another company own 80% of these tokens and will benefit from trading revenue.

Trump's family business recently made an ethics agreement to limit his involvement in business operations while he's president. He has previously been involved in cryptocurrency trading and NFTs. Even his social media company, Truth Social, has seen its value rise due to supporters' backing.
