Trump, on the other hand, will also visit Oakland County in the afternoon before hosting a rally in Detroit in the evening. This is his first visit to Detroit since his controversial comments about the city last week. He suggested that if Harris is elected, the entire country could end up like Detroit, which has seen its share of hard times but has shown signs of recovery in recent years.

Michigan, along with Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, is one of the crucial "blue wall" states that could tip the election. Harris faces some hurdles in Michigan, including winning over union support and gaining the trust of Arab American voters, who have been critical of the White House's stance on Israel's military operations in Gaza.
