Trouble in Transit: New York's MTA Boss Faces Criticism over Budget and Safety

New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is under fire. The agency's CEO, Janno Lieber, is facing heat from lawmakers and the public over how he's handling the MTA's massive $20 billion budget. Some people, like Rep. Mike Lawler, think the MTA isn't doing a good job and wants Lieber out. Lieber, however, calls this "grievance politics" and says most of Lawler's constituents use mass transit, not drive to Manhattan. Recently, the MTA started charging drivers $9 to enter Manhattan below 60th Street, a move many think is just adding to the problem.
