Tremor and Dystonia: Why Simple Labels Don't Fit

Have you ever noticed how people move differently when they have certain conditions? Two common ones are tremor and dystonia. Tremor is like a rhythmic dance, while dystonia is more like holding a pose or doing repeated, jerky moves. Like "dystonic tremor" for when dystonia looks like tremor, and "tremor associated with dystonia" for when they hang out together. But all these names got confusing. So, some experts got together to clear things up. They agreed that "tremor" should only be used for rhythmic moves. If dystonia has super-irregular moves, it shouldn't be called a type of tremor. When they both show up, it's better to describe them separately, not mix them up. They also said that it's tricky to tell them apart sometimes, so we might need special tools to help us in the future.
