Treasure Coast Schools Keep Top Grade in Florida

Treasure Coast, FL, USAFriday, July 3, 2026
The Treasure Coast region has once again earned an A rating from the state’s school grading system, marking its second year in a row of top performance. Three districts—Indian River, Martin, and St. Lucie—each achieved an overall A for the 2025‑2026 academic year, according to a July release by the Florida Department of Education. The grades come from state test scores, year‑over‑year gains, and for high schools, dropout and graduation statistics. Indian River County celebrated its fourth consecutive A, a streak that began in 2023. Its superintendent highlighted the collective effort of students, teachers, families and staff as the key to this success.
Martin County earned an A for the second straight year. The district’s superintendent noted that sustaining high standards is often more challenging than reaching them, and praised the improvement seen across all groups. St. Lucie County added another A to its record, following the first in 2025. Its superintendent credited students, educators, support personnel, school leaders, families and the wider community for this achievement. These results reflect strong student performance on standardized tests and significant progress over the year, reinforcing the Treasure Coast’s reputation for academic excellence.
