Recently, a significant move was made. A 25% tariff was placed on goods from Canada and Mexico, and a 10% tariff on goods from China. This was done with effect from Saturday. The plan was not just to address illegal immigration and fentanyl issues. It also had a goal to increase domestic manufacturing and raise federal revenue.
