He says he faced a really rough time at work, with bosses dismissing his ideas and even making racist remarks. One time, he wore jeans on air, and a boss called him, saying he wasn't going to a rap concert. Another time, the same boss said Gibson was lower than toilet paper. Can you imagine? Gibson wasn't just dealing with mean comments. He also had to work nights and days, which was really tough. He asked to move to a different desk, but no one listened. In one low point, he tried to jump out of his window. Thankfully, he didn't succeed, and a friend saved him. Even after all that, he was offered a new contract. But he turned it down. He said the money wasn't worth staying in a job that was so bad for his health. Gibson is now happy at another news channel. He says it's the first time he feels comfortable and not worried about his next job. ABC hasn't said anything about all this.
