"Emilia Pérez" is a Spanish-language, French-directed musical about a trans gangster. "The Brutalist" is a three-and-a-half-hour film shot in VistaVision with an intermission. Some people think these films show what's wrong with Hollywood, but others see them as great, humanistic works.
