In recent times, there's been a growing trend to abandon widespread precautions against COVID-19, with some arguing that it's no longer necessary to test, mask, or take other measures to prevent the spread of the virus. But is this really the case? According to recent data from the American Health Care Association, COVID-19 remains a more serious threat than influenza, and seniors who contract the virus are much more likely to experience serious illness, hospitalizations, or death.
As a society, we must find a balance between health and convenience. But does that mean we have to choose between the two? In our desire for normalcy, have we forgotten that our actions have consequences? It's time to take a closer look at the impact our decisions are having on those who are most vulnerable.
