Susanne Bier and Jenna Lamia, the creative forces behind this series, are well aware of its pulp fiction roots. They lean into the beach read vibe with glee, crafting a red-herring-laden mystery that keeps viewers guessing until the very end. While the plot may tread familiar ground at times, the cast's committed performances and witty writing elevate it to a whole new level. The series serves as a sharp critique of wealth, privilege, and the dark underbelly lurking beneath the surface of seemingly of seemingly perfect lives.
