The Impact of Temperature and Humidity on Spodoptera Bugs
UnknownTuesday, November 19, 2024
But when it was too dry (30-35% humidity) or extremely humid (90-95%), the bugs didn't do as well. The study also showed that warmer temperatures and just the right humidity led to more adults. Interestingly, the bugs lived longer in cooler conditions (20°C) with that perfect humidity (70-75%). So, it seems that temperature and humidity have a significant impact on these bugs' life cycle, and more research is needed to understand how other climate factors, like CO2, might affect them too.
