People have been discussing health equality in the United States for a long time. The issue is how to make sure everyone can have the best health possible. The US has been trying to figure this out for more than 60 years.  This has been tagged as the state in which everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their highest level of health.  The World Health Organization (WHO) wanted to make sure everyone had the chance to be healthy back in 1948. They stated the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political belief, economic or social condition.

     Now, the United States is still struggling to make this a reality. It is important to note that the U. S. is not alone in this fight. But because of the complexity of the healthcare system in the U. S. it's important to learn how to become better.

     Some people have a tougher time getting the right healthcare. These are not always easy to overcome, and can make getting good healthcare a real challenge.

     There are many reasons why some people do not have the same health opportunities.  These include where they live, the color of their skin, their beliefs, how much money they have, and how much education they have.  All of this can affect whether they can get the right health services.  These services can be more expensive.  Some communities have easier access to healthcare because they have more doctors and medical facilities nearby.  Other communities may not have this.

     Health inequality is a big problem in the United States. Different people have different access to healthcare. These can all add to the health inequalities that exist throughout the U. S.  It is important to learn how to overcome these health barriers.  Families and communities can help by taking part in health programs.

     Health equality is something we can achieve.  It requires the help of everyone.  If more people understand the barriers to healthcare, maybe it will be easier to overcome them.
