Thai Airways Upgrades Short Flights with New A320 Business Class
Bangkok, ThailandThursday, January 30, 2025
These A320s used to be part of Thai Smile, where the business class was just economy seats with the middle one empty. Now, they've upgraded to real recliners.
In Asia, regional business class on single-aisle planes varies a lot. Some airlines, like Thai and Cathay Pacific, use recliners. Others, like Singapore Airlines, are going for flatbeds on their Boeing 737 MAX planes.
Popular regional routes often use bigger planes with true international-grade business class. Cathay Pacific is already refreshing their Airbus A330s with flatbeds, and Thai Airways is planning to bring back premium economy and design a new business class for their Boeing 787s.
