A study was done in Lahore to see if nutrition education could help adults aged 18-40 lose weight. They picked 50 people who were overweight or obese. Half were put in a control group that got group counseling. The other half were in an intervention group that got personal follow-ups for 3 months, both online and in person.

At the start, the average age was 29. 9 years and the average Body Mass Index (BMI) was 32. 18 kg/m². The researchers measured BMI, waist circumference, waist-to-hip ratio, and body fat percentage at the start, and then again at 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months.

After 3 months, the intervention group had better results. Their BMI dropped by 3 kg, waist circumference by 33. 90 cm, waist-to-hip ratio by 0. 86, and body fat percentage by 24. 79%. These changes were statistically significant.
