Chicago suburbsSunday, September 15, 2024
In Flossmoor, St. John the Evangelist Parish is hosting its annual parish picnic on June 2. The event, which includes games for all ages, will take place entirely indoors due to the cicada infestation. The church is also offering a Wednesday Morning Devotion on June 5, led by a member of the Lydia chapter of the Daughters of the King.
Meanwhile, Palos Bible Church is preparing for its Great Jungle Journey Vacation Bible School Kids! Club, which starts in late June. The event is open to children aged 3-5th grade and features a fun, interactive experience. Registration is required in advance.
Finally, Wayside Chapel at The Center in Palos Park is hosting an Anniversary Dinner and Renewal of Vows on June 16. The event, open to couples celebrating their July, August, or September anniversaries, will feature a candlelight dinner and renewal of wedding vows. Reservations are required by June 10.
In an era where community and connection are more important than ever, these events offer a unique opportunity to come together, share in the joy of faith, and create lasting memories. So mark your calendars, gather your loved ones, and join in the festivities!
