Minneapolis is gearing up for a vibrant summer filled with music, food, and art. The city council has released an exciting schedule that runs from June to August, offering something for everyone—whether you love dancing, cooking, or watching sports.
June Highlights
June 3 – The Commons
Kick off the season with lawn games, food trucks, and a dusk sing‑along to “Grease.”June 6 – Prince Mural Block Party
A free block party celebrating the legendary singer’s birthday. Sing together for two hours.June 11‑27 – World Cup 2026 on a Giant Screen
Watch soccer matches at Peavey Plaza.June 18 – Nicollet Mall Truck Parade
See police, fire, and sanitation trucks up close.
June 20‑21 – Stone Arch Bridge Festival
Over 200 artists, food stalls, and family games line the bridge.June 27‑28 – Twin Cities Pride Festival
The largest free pride event in the country. Four stages, 650+ vendors supporting LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC communities.
July Highlights
Early July – Taste of Minnesota (3‑4)
Near Nicollet Mall, local chefs, breweries, and food trucks showcase Minnesota cuisine.July 4 – Water Works Celebration
A day‑long celebration with fireworks, free shows, and a big state‑wide display. Runs 8 a.m.–10 p.m.

- Artist Saype’s Mural on Boom Island
A few days after June 3, saype invites the community to help paint a huge mural.
