Students Help Earth and Get a Prom Boost
Lake City High School students organized a week‑long Earth celebration in the school hallway, providing a welcome break from exams and student government elections.

Proceeds went directly to the student council to fund next year’s prom.

The committee distributed stickers, books, and pamphlets from a nonprofit protecting Tubbs Hill, explaining the park’s importance.Trail Cleanup Finale:
Students from Lake City and Coeur d’Alene cleaned up Couger Bay, cutting fallen trees and clearing brush.
The Idaho Trails Association praised the effort, noting many participants had never done a cleanup before.
“The project helped kids think about how they can protect nature,” said Barbara Sammut of the Idaho Trails Association. “I hope to keep expanding youth projects for teens in the future.”
