However, the process of obtaining a recovery key can be daunting, especially when Windows demands it unexpectedly. When you enable BitLocker encryption, Windows automatically saves the encryption key to your Microsoft account. You can access this key from any device by signing in to your account at https://microsoft.com/recoverykey. If you're running Windows 11 Pro, you'll be prompted to save the recovery key when you first turn on BitLocker encryption. There are several ways to save a recovery key. You can save it to your Microsoft account, as a text file on a storage device, or even print it out and store it in a secure location.
