Soccer and Volleyball Teams Shine in Recent Matches

Last week was full of action on the fields and courts. Tech's boys soccer team made it to the Section 8AA semifinals after a nail-biting 1-0 win over Apollo. They'll face Willmar next, who also secured a 1-0 victory over Alexandria. The game's set for Thursday night at STMA High School. Volleyball saw some impressive games too. Sauk Rapids-Rice swept ROCORI 3-0, with Josie Anderson leading the Storm with 13 kills and 4 blocks. Sartell-St. Stephen also had a strong performance, beating Brainerd 3-0. Keely Guggisberg and Gabby Schulte were on fire, with Guggisberg scoring 6 kills, 5 aces, and 15 digs, and Schulte adding 8 kills.

Fergus Falls, North Branch, Royalton, BBE, Holdingford, Maple Lake, and Albany all won their matches 3-0, showing their dominance on the court. Albany, in particular, had a stellar performance, winning the Granite Ridge Conference title. They're now 25-2 for the season. Foley and Sauk Centre also secured wins, with Foley beating Pierz 3-1 and Sauk Centre sweeping Melrose 3-0. Delano fought hard, winning against Annandale 3-1.
