Get ready to bundle up, Minnesota.  Worries have hit the state as bad weather is coming. It all begins at 9 p. m. on Friday and continues until 3 p. m. on Saturday.  Brace yourselves.

Even though the weather says sandy weather, do not be surprised as six inches of fluffy white snow is expected. The National Weather Service says that western Minnesota will see these conditions first, spreading east across central and eastern Minnesota. Then expect lots of falling snow and freezing temperatures in the wake of it.

The northwestern tip of the state is under a serious situation.  Expect Major snow accumulations. Big snow accumulations between 5 to 8 inches are expected.  This storm will continue to lash out until it ends noontime on Saturday.

This is a big deal because St. Cloud has already seen 5. 7 inches of snow this month. In February, it's pretty common to see 1. 7 inches.  It's still 4. 0 inches above what is normal.  The weather situation is unique because the state has actually seen 19. 4 inches so far this season.

This is a lot lower than the normal 27. 7 inches.   So, are you ready to deal with the unexpected? Another thing to note is that temperatures will start to drop at the beginning of the week as colder air enters the region. This weather shift will only add to the challenges brought by the snowfall. The changeable weather pattern is a reminder that Minnesota winters can be unpredictable and demanding, requiring constant attention and preparation.
