Walt Disney World has announced that the Surfboard Bay Pool and kiddie pool at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort will be closing for maintenance in early 2026. This might come as a surprise to some, but the company is giving guests ample time to plan ahead, with the closure scheduled to take place from January 2026 to late April 2026.

The Surfboard Bay Pool, named after the towering surfboards that line the area, is a 242,471-gallon swimming pool that's hard to miss. The kiddie pool, conveniently located behind Stadium Hall, is the perfect spot for younger kids to splash around. But don't worry, there are plenty of other options available!

During the closure, guests can still enjoy the baseball diamond-shaped Grand Slam Leisure Pool, which features a fun Goofy fountain. And, as an added bonus, Disney has opened up other pools at nearby resorts for guests to use. The Calypso Pool, Piano Pool, and kiddie pool at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, as well as the Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and kiddie pool at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, are all available for guests to use.

But don't forget, the Fantasia Pool at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort will also be closing for maintenance from January 2025 to April 2025. And, if you're planning a visit to Disney's Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts in early 2025, be prepared for some pool closures as well.
