Security Boost for SC State's Big Homecoming Weekend

Get ready for a big weekend at South Carolina State University! The Bulldogs will face Delaware State, and students are thrilled. The university expects a crowd of 30, 000 to 40, 000 people, including alumni, students, family, and friends. Chief Richard Johnson, SC State's campus police chief, says safety is the top priority. This year, SC State will have 150 law enforcement officers and security personnel on campus. They'll also use a gun-sniffing dog and new weapon detectors. These detectors use artificial intelligence to detect guns, similar to TSA technology at airports. They were introduced at the last home game. Students hope for a fun and safe weekend.
