The upcoming season of Landman is shaping up to be quite the star-studded affair. Sam Elliott is all set to join the cast as a regular for Season 2. This new chapter is currently being filmed in the heart of Texas.  What exactly Elliott will be bringing to the table is still a mystery.  The show already has a strong lineup, including Billy Bob Thornton and a returning cast of familiar faces like Demi Moore, Ali Larter, and Andy Garcia.  This isn't Elliott's first rodeo with Thornton.  The two have previously shared the screen in the classic Western Tombstone and the Paramount+ series 1883.  This series is a prequel to the popular show Yellowstone.

Elliott is no stranger to the silver screen, with a resume that includes films like Mask, The Big Lebowski, and A Star is Born.  He's also made a name for himself on the small screen, with roles in shows like The Ranch and Grace and Frankie.  His work has even earned him Emmy and Oscar nominations.  He is represented by Berwick & Kovacik and Gersh.

The Landman series is the brainchild of Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace.  It's based on the podcast Boomtown and dives into the world of oil business executives and field workers in West Texas.  The show has a impressive list of executive producers, including Sheridan, Wallace, Thornton, and several others.  It's a joint production effort by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions.

The show is a mix of drama and suspense, set against the backdrop of the oil industry.  It's a world of high stakes and tough decisions, where the lines between right and wrong can get blurry.  The cast is a mix of seasoned veterans and rising stars, each bringing their own unique flavor to the show.  With Elliott on board, it's sure to be an exciting ride.
