Roswell's Flash Flood: What Happened?

Hey there! You know Roswell, New Mexico? Well, something big happened there. A flash flood hit hard, leaving two people dead and around 290 rescued. It was so bad that cars were swept away and even homes got flooded. The National Guard and other emergency teams jumped in to help. They worked all night long, saving people and getting them to safety. The flood was so intense that it broke a record with over 5 inches of rain in just one day!

That's more than four times the usual amount for this time of year. The Spring River swelled up, causing even more problems. People got stuck in their cars and some even had to wait on top of them for help. It was a tough time, and rescue efforts are still going on. Even the airport had to close because of all the damage. The city asked folks to stay home and off the streets to keep safe.
