Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is Donald Trumps choice for the chief role at the health agency. Kennedy has stated that if he is chosen, he will no longer profit from lawsuits against the company that makes the HPV vaccine. He said this because many senators, including his cousin and a senator from Massachusetts, Elizabeth Warren, have expressed concerns.

        These concerns have been raised regarding his financial ties to a law firm that represents patients suing the drugmaker.

        Kennedy had initially planned to continue receiving fees from legal cases that do not involve the U. S. government. This includes a deal with a law firm that’s sued a company over a vaccine for cervical cancer. They are saying that this could make it easier to sue drugmakers. He said that he made $850, 000 last year and has sent hundreds of people to the law firm.

        Kennedy faces an uphill battle in getting approved. Many people don't like his history of being anti-vaccine.

        Kennedy's supporters have long criticized the "revolving door" of Washington, where government officials take private sector jobs to influence agencies.

        Kennedy has been vocal on social media about this issue. He said that he would shut down the revolving door if he was elected president. This is his chance to prove it.  He first tried to challenge Joe Biden for presidency. When that did not work out, he struck a deal with Donald Trump to support him in the next election. Now, after two days of hearings, many Democrats and some Republicans are considering rejecting his nomination.

        Kennedy says that he will not engage in lobbying if he gets the job, but he has shown to be untrustworthy in the past.

        He has not made any promises to work for the public's health. This is still in question. His appointment depends on the Senate Finance Committee, but many people do not trust him.

        The question is, will Kennedy's words be enough to convince the Senate to approve his nomination.
