Religion's Impact: How Beliefs Shape Suicide Thoughts
USASunday, December 1, 2024
This study tries to figure out how these different parts of religion affect people's thoughts about suicide. It uses data from 2018's General Social Survey. The plan is to run a special type of analysis called logistic regression to see if these religious aspects significantly influence people's attitudes toward suicide.
Breaking it down, the study will look at four key parts of religion: the strength of personal beliefs, the feeling of spiritual connection, beliefs about what happens after death, and being part of a religious community. Each of these could play a unique role in shaping someone's mindset about suicide.
